Pet Exhumations

The Exhumation process involves carefully locating a first indicator of the remains as guided by the owner and my experience. Often recollections are not accurate and sometimes the target may be some distance in another direction.

 

It is fundamental to retrieve the total remains as intact and undisturbed as possible. If no wrapping or box was used the remains must be tediously sorted from a collection of soil when cremation is intended.

 

The recovered remains are packaged and labelled appropriately for presentation to a cremation service, or for perhaps another outcome as required. (I use and recommend Ian Robertson from"Pets in Heaven" and/or "Eden Hills" for cremation as I have found them to be reliable and compassionate over many years.)

 

Sometimes remains may just be relocated on the same or different property, or even kept as is by the client,

Any pet toys, photographs, collars or artifacts previously buried with the pet will normally be included in the package & also cremated. Client participation in the exhumation & packaging is not recommended until completion.

 

Exhumations can't be rushed. It is a time for respectful and careful actions.

I can also give free detailed advice if a client or associate/friend is considering the task themselves.

If a pet has died in a back yard, home, or in a garage etc. I can retrieve the body and package ready for cremation.
